Oregon — Maine
Oregon and Maine have long held fascination for me as an outdoor enthusiast and as a landscape photographer. Each perched along an ocean 3,000 miles apart and straddling similar latitude, the two U.S. states share a similar green ethos. They also each sport a thriving water gateway city named “Portland.” This gallery presents my view on a small chunk of each state: an 80-mile radius around each Portland. Many of these images are fresh out of my camera from travels to both locations in September 2018. Others come from previous excursions to the same areas when my heart was first enraptured by each locale. They are purposely shuffled to emphasize similarities.
