March 16, 2017, 7:00-9:00 pm: Presentation & Workshop

John leads the Fort Wayne Photography Club and interested members of the public at the Langhinrichs Gallery in a workshop that describes the influences in his 30-years of making images and the lessons he has learned as a professional photographer. With a workshop emphasis on the rules of composition and use of light, he will also discuss sensing when to ignore the rules and follow one's heart. He will also present on elements of landscape photography and of street photography, especially on how to include people in images.

April 5, 2017, 7:30 pm: Presentation to visual communication students.

John presents to IPFW's visual communication students about the exhibit "focus" and about working as a photographer today.

April 28, 2017, 5:30-7:00 pm: Opening in the First Presbyterian Gallery

First Presbyterian Church, 300 W. Wayne St. Exhibit continues through May 30: M-F 9-5, Sun AMs, and during theatre performances.

April 30, 2017, 12:30-2:00 pm: Photography Workshop

John leads members of First Presbyterian Church and other invited photography-interested folks in a free workshop in the church gallery. RSVP by April 27 to 206.426.7421.

June 9, 2017, 6:00-8:00 pm: Opening at the Garrett Museum of Art

Garrett Museum of Art, 100 S. Randolph St., Garrett, IN. John brings his exhibition to Garrett in collaboration with conceptual photographer artist, Tara Denny. Both "focus" and Tara's body of work continue through July 9: F 5-8, Sa 4-7, Su 1-4.
